1:1 Primary Tutoring
Bespoke Support for KS1 & KS2 (Years 1–6)
In a busy classroom, it’s easy for a child to feel left behind or, conversely, to feel they aren't being challenged enough. My 1:1 tutoring sessions are designed to change that. I provide a calm, focused space where your child is the sole priority, allowing us to tackle specific gaps and build unshakeable academic confidence.
The HQ Approach to 1:1
I don't believe in "off-the-shelf" tutoring. Every child I work with follows an Individual Tutoring Plan. We begin by identifying 3 or 4 specific targets across English and Maths, ensuring every hour we spend together is purposeful and productive.
My sessions often focus on:
Maths Mastery: Improving fact recall, arithmetic fluency, and mastering the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC).
English Essentials: Practical, memorable approaches to spellings, deepening SPAG knowledge, and developing high-level reading comprehension.
Key Assessments: Targeted support for the Phonics Screening Check, KS1 SATs, and KS2 SATs.
High-Quality, Hand-Crafted Resources
As with my 11+ Group Classes, I use my decade of teaching experience to create bespoke resources for my 1:1 students. These materials are designed to be engaging and are perfectly aligned with National Curriculum objectives, ensuring that what we do in my classroom directly supports their success in their own school classroom.
How it Works
Duration: All sessions are 1 hour.
Frequency: Tuition takes place once per week during term time.
Holiday Support: I also offer additional sessions during school holidays.
Location: * In-Person: Taught at the student’s home in Rugby.
Online: High-quality remote sessions are available for those further afield.
