Hi, I’m Harriet, the founder and lead tutor of HQ Learning.
I believe that every child has the potential to succeed, but in a busy classroom of 30, even the most talented students can lose their confidence. I started HQ Learning in 2022 to bridge that gap by combining high-level academic rigour with the nurturing, patient environment children need to truly thrive.
My Journey & Philosophy
I began my teaching career in 2015, and over the last decade, I’ve seen first-hand how a "one size fits all" approach to education often leaves children feeling overwhelmed.
At HQ Learning, we do things differently. Whether your child is preparing for the 11+ or needs a boost in Primary Maths or English, my focus is always twofold:
Academic Excellence: Ensuring every child masters the curriculum and advanced techniques.
Improving Confidence: Building the "I can do this" mindset that is essential for exam success and lifelong learning.

I don't just "tutor"—I curate. I am incredibly proud of the resources I use in my sessions. Unlike many tutoring centres that use generic worksheets, I hand-craft my own high-quality materials for my 11+ Group Classes and 1:1 sessions.

My Specialisms
While I support students across the primary age range, my "specialist subject" is the 11+ journey. I know how daunting the grammar school entrance process can be for families in Rugby and Warwickshire. My goal is to take the stress out of the process through:
